26 October 1818 – 13 August 1878) was an American author, well known for her hymn “More Love to Thee, O Christ” and the religious novel Stepping Heavenward (1869.  Daughter of the famous Edward Payson. The influences of New England  Christianity, consisting of the inherited Puritan foundation that was evident in the Payson family.

A rare opportunity to own a classic that is still read by sincere young christian women today.
