1892 Gawin Kirkham This is a high quality reproduction (12x18 inche ) of a very attractively preserved rarer "six color" version of Gawin Kirkham's famous color lithograph, "The Broad and the Narrow Way."
Gawin Kirkham was one of the most influential open-air preachers of the late 19th century in England. He preached missions all over England, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland, including for C. H. Spurgeon, who wrote the recommendation for his book on open-air preaching.
He initially encountered this image as an original painting in Holland. Sensing it's clarity and helpfulness, he had a 9 x 12 foot version produced which he preached in front of at his open air services. Then copies would be sold afterward should any want to purchase them.
The “tinted edition” is much more common, but this six color edition is quite rare.
